VITAMIN D:

                                                      Vitamin D is known as Calciferol. It is also called sunshine         vitamin. 

It is a fat soluble vitamin. It produces endogenously when sunlight strikes with body as well as it is naturally presents in few foods. 

 Vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3 are two types of vitamins present in human body. But there is no difference between these two vitamins and vitamin D. So, these vitamins is also known as "vitamin D".

  • Sir Edward Mellanby, a Britain scientist, was discovered vitamin D.
